With over 15 years of experience in directing, she has worked on campaigns for major brands such as Ford, Coca-Cola, Samsung and Rolling Stone Magazine, winning several awards, including a Silver Lion Cannes award.
A prominent name in Brazilian advertising, she is the Brazilian ambassador for the Free the Work project, a respected international initiative for the inclusion of underrepresented talents in the audiovisual market and which aims to change the unequal scenario in the industry.
She was a founding partner of Barry Company and ATR, her former entertainment production company. With a solid career in advertising, Mariana began her journey in the fiction market with the medium-length film “B-Flat”, filmed in India, and participated in festivals such as those in Brasília, Cairo and Oaxaca, among others.
She studied film at the International Film Academy, learned acting for directors at the Judith Weston Studio in Los Angeles, and screenwriting techniques with Guillermo Arriaga in Chile.
In 2021, she directed three episodes of the series “Lov3” for Prime Video and was the general director of the series “As Seguidoras” for Paramount+. In 2022, she filmed “B.A.: The Future Is Dead” for Max, where, in addition to creating the series, she is responsible for directing the first episode. In 2023, she released two episodes of the series “Desejos Inc.” for Star+.
In 2024, Mariana will direct the feature film “Nico”, which she is already working on, and the original feature film “Viúvos”. In addition, in 2023 Mariana became a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (@iemmys).
